Job description

As an HR & Support Assistant, you will support the HR advisor and the back office of Taxperience in a dynamic and varied environment. Your role is operational and administrative (non-financial), and you act as the proverbial oil that keeps the wheels of the business running smoothly and continuously. Depending on whether you’re assisting a colleague or a client, you know exactly how best to approach the task at hand. With your proactive attitude and efficient work style, you stay ahead of the game, consistently surprising your colleagues and clients with the results of your work. Helping and supporting others, whether requested or not, is second nature to you, and you take pride in relieving your surroundings of burdens.

More specifically, in the HR domain, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the onboarding of new employees and offboarding of departing ones;
  • Drafting and keeping employment contracts and other individual HR documents up to date;
  • Working with and maintaining the HRM and payroll software used by Taxperience (Polaris);
  • Serving as the first point of contact for personnel policies, procedures, and arrangements (for example car policy, leave, and pension) and maintaining absence records.

In the back-office domain, your tasks include:

  • Updating and maintaining the CRM system, such as creating new client profiles, processing updates, and gathering relevant information;
  • Managing various administrative processes and systems;
  • Handling applications, verifying completeness, and coordinating progress for compliance-related processes (Wwft, DAC6, tax filings) via phone, in person, or email;
  • Helping organize internal and external events;
  • Acting as backup for handling incoming phone calls, outgoing mail, and receiving clients and other guests at the office.

In these areas, HR and support colleagues will turn to you for assistance with various questions, where prioritization and problem-solving skills are key. Service, timely follow-up, and thoroughness are your top priorities. You also consistently look for ways to improve or streamline processes, including automation and standardization. As an HR & Support Assistant, you will collaborate with and report to the HR Advisor and the Manager of Operations at Taxperience.

Who are you?

You are communicative, service-oriented, and proactive. You enjoy working on administrative processes, have an eye for detail, and are accurate. You easily switch between tasks and stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, and office guests, and know how to set priorities effectively. You take initiative and ownership of your responsibilities. As a team player, you are also capable of working independently. Additionally, you are eager to learn, quickly acquiring and applying new skills and techniques.

In your work, accuracy and integrity are crucial. As the ideal HR & Support Assistant, you handle inquiries and information in an organized and confidential manner. This is essential because you are often the first point of contact for colleagues. You also interact with clients and other stakeholders as part of your responsibilities, so being approachable and building relationships is key.

You also meet the following criteria:

  • You are accustomed to operating and communicating at a professional business level, likely supported by a degree in business services, secretarial or management assistance, HRM, MER, or a related field;
  • You have some work experience, preferably in business services;
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes and legislation is a plus, or you are willing to learn;
  • You are proficient in standard office software (especially Office 365, and preferably also Business Central). You quickly adapt to new software thanks to your affinity with technology;
  • You are available for at least 32 hours per week and live near Den Bosch;
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and are proficient in written and spoken English.
